Many of you who live out of state or who were unable to make October 3rd's Bone Marrow Drive have asked how to be tested.  Its simple, its easy and, most importantly, it can save a life!  Our friends at the Gift of Life Bone Marrow Foundation have teamed up with us to help us find a match for Dennis and all other patients worldwide in need of life-saving stem cell transplants.  Please follow the instructions below to become part of the Gift of Life Registry:

1. Go to the Gift of Life Bone Marrow Foundation link.
2. Once on the site, click on the 'Donors' link in the upper left hand corner.
3. Under the 'Donors' menu, click on 'Online Donor Registration'.
4. Read carefully through the instructions, then click on the 'Click to Register Now' bar.
5. Our wonderful friends at Gift of Life are underwriting the cost of testing for Dennis.  When you are prompted for a code during the registration process, please type in 'Dennis'.  Of course, you can also feel free to make the $18.00 donation to Gift of Life and help pay it forward by defraying the costs for testing.
6. When you receive your kit, just follow the instructions included, make sure no one else touches your kit (your DNA only needs to be present on the kit), enclose it in the envelope provided and send it on its way!

 
Please remember, although you may have Dennis in mind when you join the Registry, you will become part of the Registry until your 61st brithday and need to remain committed to donating for all patients should you get the call that you are a match.  Act locally, think globally.  Your committment can give someone a second chance at life!
